Incredibly grateful to SPERI @SPERIshefuni.bsky.social Doctoral Researchers (and recent graduates) for organizing the UK nation-wide IPE conference for ECRs. Excellent presentations, step out of academic loneliness, break-the-fear supportive atmosphere. Glad that Review of International Political Economy could be represented.

Yesterday's conference 'Where to now? Emerging themes and directions in Critical Political Economy' organised by SPERI's Doctoral Researcher Network was rich with fascinating presentations & generative discussion. So impressive from both organisers and contributors 🧠

My first fieldwork trip to Morocco has come to an end. I’ve had an incredible time, and want to thank everyone who’s helped me over the past few weeks, particularly my hosts at KAS. I’ll be back January, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to chat about my research!

After 5 months, my fieldwork has come to an end. I’ve had an incredible time, and want to thank everyone who generously gave up their time to speak to me or help me in any way they could. I hope to return soon, and I’m sure this won’t be my final visit to this incredible country!

What a privilege to chair an #eisa2025 panel with this stellar cast: Justin Rosenberg, Meera Sabaratnam, Josh White, Nadège Compaoré, Johanna Seibert, Jasmine Gani and Luke Cooper. The topic was the intersection between critical theory, structures and emancipatory agency.
