They probably won't give the #Heisman to a RB. But Notre Dame Football's Jeremiyah Love is definitely worthy. Another great game today: 171 yards on just 8 carries, with 3 touchdowns. #NotreDame #GoIrish! ☘️
Aaron Taylor The committee is trying to strong arm Notre Dame into joining a conference, that is the only reason they did this.
As a Notre Dame Alumni, am I upset that University of Notre Dame was left out of #CFBPlayoff? Yes. Do I think it is the result of "conference bias?" Yes. Do I think Notre Dame Football should join a conference? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Our independence & traditions mean too much. #NotreDame #GoIrish!
Exactly correct response from #NotreDame AD Bevacqua. Notre Dame Football had a great season, deserved to be in the #CFBPlayoff , and should NOT join a conference. Our independence and traditions mean more than any playoff. #GoIrish!
I am an #Alabama and #NotreDame fan. This tweet is true. It is an example of "conference bias" & the Committee's attempt to force ND to join a conference. Notre Dame Football should stand firm. No conference, ever. College football needs Notre Dame more than it needs this Playoff.
This is a wrong take. The decision to forego a bowl game is brilliant. Why should Notre Dame reward ESPN by playing in a bowl (and generating big revenue for ESPN) after the ESPN-led College Football Playoff just unfairly snubbed Notre Dame?
An ESPN employee complaining about this makes #NotreDame's point. #ESPN stands to benefit if ND plays in a bowl. Yet, ESPN and its College Football Playoff snubbed ND. I applaud this move by the Notre Dame Football team, which should be allowed to compete for the championship.
I have never been more proud of Notre Dame Football than I am today. This is the correct decision, painful as it is. This is a great team, and deserved to get a shot at the championship. Accepting a bowl game, and earning $ for ESPN (which lobbied hard against ND) would be wrong.
