One of the reasons the public distrusts politicians so much is social media has allowed for all to see the hypocrisy and double standards most brazenly spew everyday on this site. "No one is above the law" suddenly doesn't mean anything today, for example.

People are really overstating what Mamdani 's win in a low turnout NYC primary means. In terms of authenticity vs policies, the average voter cares at a 90/10 split. Mamdani was a genuinely talented and likeable candidate running against a scandal-plagued dinosaur.

When a pol says something like "millions go hungry", it's a telltale sign they've never experienced, worked with, or served the poor. The primary issue for the materially poor in 2025 America is not hunger. It's a lack of social capital and development.
