#JaksGivesBack jaksliquor fundraising campaign launch 🧑🍳 at @vanfoodbank yvar.ca/3ybE6RE

Today at Vancouver Shipyards, we hosted a ceremonial keel laying for the Canadian Coast Guard's Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessel, marking a historic milestone in the construction of Canada’s 🍁 most modern science research ship. Press release 👉 seaspan.com/press-release/…

“I could not be prouder of this group & prouder of the progress that we are making on building ships for Canada” Watch our OOSV keel laying video to hear about the significance of this milestone, for Seaspan & Canada🇨🇦, from Joyce Murray, Canadian Coast Guard and our leadership team.

We’ve said it before but we’ll say it again. The Joint Support Ship is loooooooooong. And after a recent block move, the hull is now at its full length under the hard stand! At 173.7m, the Royal Canadian Navy 's future #HMCSProtecteur is the longest naval vessel ever to be built in 🇨🇦.

Somebody call 📞 John Stamos because we've got a Full House! There are 🚫no vacancies🚫 at Vancouver Drydock, who are having a very busy start to the year in #northvan. Everybody is coming in for their post-holiday touch-ups... Canadian Coast Guard BC Ferries

.North Shore News was on hand at our 'Women in Marine' open house last week, where they spoke with two of our female Seaspan Marine employees and took a shot at trying out our state-of-the-art tugboat simulator 👇

“We are often told that tugboats are no place for women.” That outdated sentiment is why we recently held a ‘Women in Marine’ open house & networking event, w/ partners BC Ferries British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Western Maritime Institute, designed to support, inspire and encourage diversity - at sea & on shore.

We had some *very* special guests at Vancouver Drydock earlier this week. Scouts Canada's Local 21 Capilano Beaver Scouts got a guided tour of our drydock + a BC Ferries vessel. With how excited they all were, there might have been a few future Seaspan employees in the group 👨🏭👷♀️

Seaspan Shipyards has cut steel on a ‘Prototype block’ setting a course for building the flagship vessel of the Canadian Coast Guard' s icebreaking fleet - the first heavy Polar Icebreaker built in Canada 🇨🇦 in 60+ years. News release📰👇 ow.ly/Qh6R50OBLNx

Ed needn't have been nervous, he did a fantastic job last night at the Indigenous Partnerships Success Showcase! He is an incredibly valued member of the team here at Seaspan - we were happy to profile him in a video which also highlighted HaiSea Marine, a partnership between Haisla Nation and Seaspan.

Building big ships takes a big team. Community reporter Michael Newman visits the Seaspan Vancouver Shipyard to learn about building the Royal Canadian Navy’s Joint Support Ships.

It was so hard to pick a winner!! Thanks for the opportunity to take part in this contest, North Shore News

Seaspan was proud to participate in Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw | Squamish Nation's #SquamishStrong campaign, by recording ourselves saying wa iy̓ím ta Sḵwx̱wú7mesh in Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Sníchim (Squamish language) as part of the 100-year anniversary of the Amalgamation of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw.

Thanks for stopping by, Brent Richter! It was our pleasure to have you hop onboard the HaiSea Wamis. We still get excited to show it off.. new tugboat smell and all.
