Our Dawn Militello funded Traceable Organic Coffee from Kenya team paid a courtesy call to H.E Lily N'gok the Deputy Governor, #Kericho County and discussed the progress towards reaching 15,000 smallholder coffee farmers and producing #Kenya’s first #organic certified coffee by 2023.

Our Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken (Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) funded RECLAIM Sustainability! Programme hosted a multi-stakeholder platform which brought together stakeholders in the #coffee sub-sector from Nandi, Machakos and Bungoma counties in #Kenya.

During the forum, stakeholders recognized the significant role of #women and #youth in #coffee noting that 20-30% coffee farms are operated by #women while upto 70% of labor in coffee production is provided by #women.

We are visiting Kutoka Ardhini farmers in Lunga Lunga who have received irrigation kits and dam liners through to promote food security. The irrigation kits have a 300-liter tank and drip lines for 400 square meter plots, while the water pans have a 30,000-liter capacity.
