Drought conditions continue to improve over Central Ohio with most of the area abnormally dry. We still have some areas of severe drought and we are tracking more rain through the extended forecast. #wsyx6

Most of Central Ohio is now out of drought conditions with other areas abnormally dry. There is still a small area in moderate drought thanks to several wet days this month. We will see more rain in the extended forecast that should lead to more improvement. #wsyx6

Dangerous cold is on the way to Central Ohio. Temps will drop dramatically overnight giving us single digit wind chills in the morning. Make sure you are prepared and setting up yourself, pets, and livestock for the bitter cold. #wsyx6

Another COLD WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for Central Ohio starting at 7pm until 11am tomorrow. Wind chills as cold as -15° possible overnight. Take precautions and stay safe. We look to get some relief from the subzero wind chills early next week.

Today, Columbus ended it's third longest streak of days below 20° at 8. 10 would have tied the longest record. We are nowhere near a record for consecutive days below freezing...and it looks like some warmer air may keep us from even getting close.
