Join us for a discussion titled 'Leaving Eurafrica: Critical Reflections on the Elasticity of Modernism', featuring a number of creatives from a variety of media, including visual artists and authors of fiction. 04 June, 3:00 pm–4:30 pm

How can choreographic practice shed light on Black / African / Afro-European identities in Europe? Helene Neveu Kringelbach (UCL Anthropology) and 'Funmi Adewole Elliott (dmuleicester) convene a performance, video extracts and panel to respond to the question. 04 June, 5:00 pm–7:00 pm

Join us for a reception to mark the end of the first day of the Festival of Afro-European Arts, Performance & Scholarship. It will also be an opportunity for students, academics and artists with shared interests to network and connect over drinks. 04 June, 7:30 pm–9:30 pm

GO/CO-CREATE Students are invited to this masterclass on responding creatively to works that interrogate Black and African identities in Europe. Held by Mary Evans, Director UCL Slade and performer, choreographer and PhD student Candace Scarborough. 05 June, 5:00 pm–6:00 pm

The final event of the festival will consider how Blackness and marginalisation can be performed and visualised through film. It will include a series of short film screenings, a performance by Helen McDonald, and contributions by Duncan Salkeld Jeff Bowersox and Jane Kingsley-Smith.
