It is very important that the audio for this incident is released. VAR is not there to re-referee games nor is it there to interfere unless there has been a clear and obvious error. If the VAR has to “guide” or “really explain” to the referee what he’s seeing or not seeing…

Too much analysis of the Howard Webb interview for something very simple. It’s always been given as an obvious penalty in the past, and starting next weekend it will again be given as an obvious penalty moving forward. End of story.
