Lotsa fun talking about BuildPulse with the @TestDouble team at their weekly engineering hangout today. Clearly a group of kindred spirits in the fight against flaky tests. π Big thanks to Justin Searls and Landon for the invitation. π
Cool milestone this week: BuildPulse processed its πππ‘π‘ππ€π£π©π test result! π₯³ Here's to the next billion. π₯ We'll be here tirelessly hunting down flaky tests ... so you don't have to. π
Kinda crazy (in a good way!) to see such a spike in new BuildPulse signups over the last two weeks. Maybe it's a wave of New Yearβs resolutions to get a handle on flaky tests?
This was a nice surprise. A community-authored Discord integration for BuildPulse: github.com/Rabatta-ApS/Bu⦠Cool to see customers building their own automations on top of the BuildPulse API, and then making those automations available to others!
Built my first Visual Studio Code extension: Say "hello" to significant-other π§βπ€βπ§ Quickly switch between a source file and its corresponding test file. Zero setup. Aims to "just work' for common project structures. π marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemNameβ¦
Growing BuildPulse's collection of example repos for identifying flaky tests in popular testing frameworks. For JDK devs β, the collection now includes JUnit, ScalaTest, and TestNG: github.com/buildpulse?q=bβ¦ /cc JUnit Team ππ @ScalaTest
Ahhh. That new database smell. β¨ Gave BuildPulse a beefier DB instance to keep up with recent growth. And upgraded to PostgreSQL 14 as part of the move. #HowToSaturday π

Feeling a nice sense of accomplishment as we enter the new year: I started BuildPulse in 2019, developing the app and the business on nights and weekends while working a full-time gig. And now ... it's been acquired! πΎ What a journey!
