A glimpse of Aoraki (150km away) from the Buster Diggings, near Naseby, back on 31 May 2020. Great place to bring the bike and blow the cobwebs out of your lock-down legs. NikonUSA Z7 + 200-500mm f5.6.

Worried one of my New Zealand Geographic photo entries is going to come out borked because of Dell's stupid colour calibration. Looks good in Adobe applications, horribly over-saturated in Microsoft applications, and somewhere in-between everywhere else... Sigh...

Want to be part of helping grow the #kakapo population? We’re anticipating breeding next year (first time since 2019), so are recruiting three field rangers in island-based roles on 1 year contracts. See careers.doc.govt.nz/jobs/DOC-400-0… #conservation #jobs

On what planet do you blame exploitative systems on the people being exploited? It’s like blaming renters for the housing crisis.

Feels a bit hard to process the Emissions Reduction Plan. The Greens are responsible for the plan existing as a statutory document, which is good, but Labour’s majority government Cabinet Ministers are responsible for the commitments in the plan, which seem mostly inadequate. 1/

I don't use this site anymore (find me on Mastodon) but came back to say one thing to the masochistic hangers-on of this platform as voting opens tomorrow: Party Vote Green. Also come on Green Party NZ and MPs/candidates - stop supporting this hellhole so exclusively?
