I headed back to the old haunt to speak to Clovenstone residents. They had immense pride in their community and love for their neighbours. But there was no love lost for the local authority who many accused of treating them with an out of sight, out of mind approach.

Within an hour of this story being up we have been contacted by dozens of parents all saying the same thing - their children are being failed. This is the first part of my four-part series on the use of reduced timetables to mask the chronic underfunding of our education sector.

Shocking story - as Alison Murphy, of EIS highlights these kinds of reduced timetables are simply being used as cover for a failure to meet children’s additional support needs. This is not how ASL is supposed to work. We must stop letting down children like this.
