After 105 minutes in the queue: only tickets left for Oasis on Sunday are "official platinum tickets" (€490.50) and "in demand standing tickets" (€415.50). Neither has any VIP element: it's literally just Ticketmaster incorporating tout pricing into the 'face value' proposition

Politicians are lobbied by ticket companies, it's why you'll often see them at big gigs/sports events. The biggest "legal" seller of tickets was able to act as a tout today, with total immunity from the law. It's not free market capitalism, it's touting, protected.

As many people are finding out today, dynamic pricing for concert tickets is an utterly despicable practice, and acts who do it are no better than the touts they claim to oppose. In fact, they're fucking worse. Voice of the working classes? Pfft.

❤️🖤 We said our final goodbyes to much-loved Bohemian Ger Byrne today. He left behind endless memories for his many friends at Dalymount Park. He was also responsible for Bohs adopting Hold Me Now as the club’s anthem, and Johnny Logan today sent this video in tribute to Ger.

I have written to the competition & Consumer protection commission, requesting an investigation of the ticket sales stunt used for the Oasis concerts - it now seems that bands and their agents have taken over where the touts left off - GoodAfternoonAmerica should set rules for use of Croke Park
