Western Balkan delegations together with representatives from EU Member States Romania and Bulgaria 🇷🇴🇧🇬 are sharing key updates, challenges, and expertise - fostering trust and regional cooperation for sustainable migration governance.

Energy efficiency and social inclusion are key to resilient communities. The GFF team presented the initiative to the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth — highlighting how returnees and vulnerable households can access support for greener, safer homes.

Digital tools are increasingly used in human trafficking and migrant smuggling. Today in Ohrid, police officers began training on digital investigations — part of broader efforts to strengthen institutional response to these crimes.

With IOM support, Prof. Dr. Stefan Bouzarovski engaged with UKIM to share international research and academic practices — strengthening education, networks, and impact.

Thanks to the commitment of Macedonian authorities and the support of Denmark, key milestones were reached under WBCAP, WBIBM, WBJAST & AVRR. We value the partnership that made these efforts possible — promoting humane, coordinated, and rights-based migration governance.

In the last two years, IOM provided assistance to over 50 victims and presumed victims of trafficking in human beings — improving living conditions, safety, and dignity. In close partnership with institutions, we work to protect the most vulnerable. #EndHumanTrafficking

With support from the #GFF, Debar is taking steps toward a cleaner, more efficient future. Citizens and local groups explored how green energy can cut heating costs and drive local investment through remittances and returnees.

The 🇧🇦 API/PNR Working Group meets today with 🇲🇪 and 🇲🇰 counterparts to exchange practices on passenger data systems, key vital for secure borders and safe migration. Supported by Denmark MFA 🇩🇰 under #WBIBM, the group continues to grow with ongoing support from Farnesina 🇮🇹.

Today we joined the kick-off workshop for North Macedonia’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP) – a key step toward climate resilience. IOM presented its project on integrating migration and climate change into NAP processes, ensuring human mobility is strategically included. #IOMDF
