“Really? I think everyone judges everyone, honestly. It’s just the way people are, I guess. Mortals especially. . . They’re funny.” He shrugged. “I rarely give myself credit or any grace. I’m not really liked by many people. I’m mostly by myself . It gets lonely.”

“That’s very kind of you. I’d actually love to come and keep you company whenever, of course. Oh, uhm. . I’m Klaus. I don’t think I introduced myself earlier.” He nodded at her questions. “Yes. I love both.”

“Nora? A lovely name and it’s lovely to meet you as well.” He smiled softly, eyeing the plate of brownies. “Oh wow, that looks and smells amazing already.” He chuckled softly, accepting the plate of brownies, taking one and biting into it. “Fuck, that’s good.”

Klaus continues to eat a couple more. They were almost addicting. “Sometimes it does take a while to get things right, it takes a lot of patience and time, of course. I can see why it’s one of your best sellers. I’d definitely buy your famous brownies.”

“Well, I wouldn’t want to bother you and your husband too much. People say that I’m pretty annoying.” He shrugged softly. “I have and I’m working on myself still, trying to be better. I was really in a bad spot for the longest time. I gave up the drugs a while ago.”

Klaus chuckled softly with a nod of his head. “I mean, in some ways, I guess I am kind of a stray. I just kinda found you, didn’t I?” He smiled softly at the thought. He did fall asleep on her in the beginning, after all. “It was probably the hardest thing I have done. Yeah.”

“Well, I am glad I found you and met you. I’m really grateful for that and for you being so kind to me.” He smiled softly, another nod. “I am proud of myself.”

Klaus would definitely love all the delicious food she conjures up, but he had one too many brownies. “You’re a healer? I don’t think I’ve come across a healer before, until now. I thought you had some sort of powerful magic. . . It’s magic, right ?”
