Something big is coming to ICSPI (but also something very, very small). We are bringing #AFM-on-a-chip to a new level of resolution. Stay tuned for the announcement on May 4!

I'm sitting on a bunch of cool data/images that I've collected and really want to share it with folks! So I'm starting a new "Micrograph Monday" segment. Quick videos with minimal editing to show interesting AFM, optical or other instrumentation data :) youtube.com/watch?v=m0UK7L…

1.2x1.2 μm scan of an opal, just look at those nanoparticles! Opals are such cool gemstones, much more interesting than boring ol' carbons in a diamond 😜 More scans of the opal in this week's Micrograph Monday: youtube.com/watch?v=2qpIka…

I scanned a bunch of flat and smooth objects, and discovered that it's ironically rather hard to scan something without any features :) Pretty cool to see the differences in magnitude though! Gage block looks like a topo map of some mountains! youtube.com/watch?v=2cZ0XJ…
