Finite federal infrastructure dollars, available under the Infrastructure and Jobs Act, give Oregon a once in a generation opportunity to build the safer and climate-forward transportation solution we know we need. Let’s get it done.

WE NEED AN I-5 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT THAT’S THE RIGHT SIZE, RIGHT NOW, INCLUDES PUBLIC AND ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION, AND DOESN’T SPEND BEYOND OUR FISCAL MEANS.

The opportunity to request federal funding for the I-5 bridge replacement opens in June. The state legislature must take action in the bonding and budgeting process to ensure we can take advantage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and replace the bridge ASAP.

We believe a $250 million bonding allocation to secure federal transit grants is a reasonable baseline step to ensure this project moves forward. Now, we ask state lawmakers to act.
