So many of us come from scarcity backgrounds. Parents who struggled passed those mindsets onto us. But we don’t have to live our lives that way. We do have enough. We are enough. And we not only deserve, but also have the power to pursue the things we want.

If you’re financially successful but unhappy in your work, what’s stopping you from pursuing your dream life?

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer. It changed my perspective on life, and I left the money behind to pursue my passion. Now, help others escape corporate by building financial plans that focus on what really matters to them.

Clients don’t seek advisors for information. There’s already plenty of that out there. They come to us for personalized strategies, implementation, and ongoing support.

A friend recommended the book Die With Zero by Bill Perkins. It emphasizes the value of spending wealth over the course of a lifetime rather than saving excessively for a distant retirement. What do you think of that idea?

Most financial planners say plan for the worst, hope for the best. I say plan for the best, protect yourself from the rest.

None of the experts have the secret sauce. There's really only a couple things that set them apart: humility and psychology. Anyone can achieve their results. They just need the right goals, mindset, and discipline.

Our kids don't care about bigger houses, luxury cars, or country club memberships. They care about us spending time with them.

If you only had one more day with your best friend, what would you do with them?

You need a plan. If you don't, society does, and they've been planning it for decades.

The wealth management industry is so dumb. They relentlessly compete for the already-wealthy population instead of helping EVERYONE build wealth.

I believe three things to be true: 1) Some corporate jobs are great 2) Some corporate jobs are hell 3) Many people lie about having number one while really having number two. I did it myself...

Six pairs of MJ's shoes just fetched $8M. Is it just me, or is spending this kind of money on a status symbol absurd? Jordan was my hero as a kid. But a society that has this kind of money to blow should invest in more important things.

"How the hell were you able to walk away from the money and job security?!" I get asked this sometimes: really, the answer is that I didn't need to max out my retirement savings and live a flashy lifestyle. Doing work I'm passionate about matters more.

Don't overcomplicate money. It's a tool to enhance happiness and well being. Dassit.
