At the beginning of National #VolunteersWeek2020 , TRIP Befriending would like to say a HUGE thank-you to all our amazing befrienders who continue to support their befriendees during this time. Your efforts are tremendous and make such a difference to the lives of so many.

Although our befrienders and befriendees cannot yet meet in person, lots of them have used the time to get creative. One pair in particular video share some of their craft projects, and have a good chat at the same time 😀. They have been busy and the results are beautiful!

#Befriending comes in many forms. We were lucky enough this week to source a robotic cat for somebody who wanted some temporary animal companionship. It purrs, miaows and rolls over to have it's tummy tickled - something a real cat may have difficulty with!

For people in Honiton - we are looking at expanding befriending services once social activities can resume safely. We are investigating a number of different options, and it would be great if you could spare some time to identify which choice would be beneficial.
