During the Civil War, Rhoda Ray was a slave living in the John Ray house near Wilson’s Creek. When the Ray home promptly became a field hospital, Ray showed valiance towards nursing both Union and Confederate soldiers. #sgfhistory #MuseumMonday #BlackHistoryMonth
