#OnThisDay in 1940, France signed an armistice with Nazi Germany which established a zone of German occupation of northern and western France. Many French Jews would attempt to flee the country, including these refugees waiting outside the American consulate in Marseilles.

Tallahassee middle school students have been learning about the Holocaust this summer! On Wed July 13, the students received a virtual visit from Allan Hall, 87! The native of Poland is arguably the only Jewish child seized by the Nazis who survived. shorturl.at/tuZ24
