Thank you, humans of #bumbershoot2018, for visiting me at BumberSCI last weekend! The members of Allen School Siddhartha Srinivasa's Personal #Robotics Lab enjoyed meeting you & hope you enjoyed learning about how I and my fellow robots can help people! 🤖 (Photos by University of Washington's Dana Brooks)

My pal Siddhartha Srinivasa and colleagues at Allen School & UC Santa Cruz are part of an exciting new project called Curious Minded Machine. They're working with Honda in America, MIT CSAIL & Penn Engineering to enable robots to learn through curiosity - like humans do! 🧐🤖 news.cs.washington.edu/2018/10/25/all…

A lot of discoveries were made while looking for something else. For Allen School grad student ewin, research into #quantumcomputing showed that our regular old computers might be capable of much more than we once thought ow.ly/GvKp50jS4oW

Here's a great example of our lab's work on robot manipulation and human-robot interaction to enable robots to perform complex tasks in real-world settings and improve people's quality of life. #NeurIPS2018

Very excited to unveil my pet project on democratizing robotics Allen School! Our MuSHR platform is a state of the art self-driving car, affordable, and most importantly, completely open-source. Go to the website to learn more, and be part of this revolution.

Fun fact on #InternationalDogDay: Our new robotic race car, MuSHR, gets its name from mushing in dogsled racing. Why dogsled racing? Because we are the University of Washington Huskies, of course! mushr.io

The Robotics Collaborative Technology Alliance (RCTA) Program was one of the most challenging and fulfilling programs I have led Allen School. Really proud of the Mobile Manipulation team for pulling off an impossible demonstration! youtu.be/qncj3_dQVNo

Visit me and my robot and human friends at #AAAS2020 in Seattle on Saturday! I'll hand you a Coca-Cola while you learn about perception, manipulation and other challenges the University of Washington Personal Robotics Lab is working on to enable robots to perform a variety of tasks around humans. 🤖

We had fun discussing the research done at the Personal Robotics Lab Allen School, directed by Siddhartha Srinivasa, at the AAAS meeting! We presented 4 robot demos: soda handoff (HERB); assistive feeding (ADA); racing against an autonomous racecar (MuSHR); teleoperated chopsticks (HEBI). 🤖

I was born on the IIT Madras campus and spent 20 amazing years before moving to CMU Robotics Institute for graduate school, and now to Allen School and Amazon. I’m grateful to all my mentors, friends and family through every step of this journey. Looking forward to more!
