re Mark Carney: while I appreciate the honesty of a speech whose main thrust is "Look, OBVIOUSLY the Rules-Based International Order was always a sham, but for many years WE got the good end of the stick," I won't pretend I love the sentiment!!!!

New Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) analysis by Dr Karl Frost of the Max Planck Institute, which cites heavily but goes above & beyond my previous work on the subject, discredits Israel's Historic Lie about its ratio of civilians to combatants killed in Gaza. Frost estimates a 5:1 CCR for IDF.

I don't think anything the Maple is doing here is, or should be, illegal, and this campaign of unfounded criminal complaints against it should be treated by the authorities as either vexatious litigation or criminal harassment.

Over the past couple years, a common refrain among Canadian authors who didn't support the Giller Prize boycott was that the campaign had a point, but was unlikely to 'make a difference.' Scotiabank had a $368-million (US) stake in Elbit at the end of 2022. Now it's $0.

All this "There no (good) women philosophers" crap is really self-reporting from people who don't actually read philosophy. Just a pathetic demonstration of their own ignorance.
