Post trip thoughts… Phantasialand is one of, if not the best theme parks out there. Taron is absolutely still my No 1! Other highlights included the new pancake restaurant… FLY, Chiapas and all the rest. Staff were super friendly and Charles Lindbergh is an amazing hotel!!!

Rookburgh at night is on another level 🎢📸

I know it’s not over yet, so I’ll hold off full Fright Nights opening night thoughts for now… but it’s a problem when you have to ask the actors for pyro ⚡️🔥 in Trailers 🫣

Now that’s more like it Thorpe Park Official!!!! Fantastic mazes, closing stitches to fix a broken effect and much much better batching in quiet periods. Loved it!! Trailers back on form tonight and DeadBeat awesome as ever 👻📽️🪓

Whoever programmed the new Fright Nights lighting switchover deserves a raise Thorpe Park Official. Having all the lighting switch like that was so cool. And Hyperia’s lighting now turns off completely on the first drop. 10/10

Headed to my first farm scare event, The Howl at Mead Open Farm, last night. Very different vibes to the theme parks but great mazes with some really cool moments. The actors in Noxious Alley really made the night. And ShriekEasy was easily one of the best themed mazes I’ve seen!

TULLEY’S!!! Wow, I get the hype! Wastelands and Doom Town are amazing but it was Hell-emnts and Purgatory that shine the most. Purgatory is one of those very special experiences that I will be rambling about for months to come 🔦

First Alton Towers Resort Scarefest ✅

The joy of Scarefest’s identity crisis between a family and thrill event means you get the joy of this and watching 3-4 year olds having photos with their parents 10 feet away from Art the Clown with blood all over his face 😂😂

The first scare event I heard about, Screamfest Burton, and now I have finally done it. Shame Love Hurts left before I got here but Hellcatraz is a very worthy replacement. That and Insomnia are the standouts. Really pleasant to see a sold-out night not ridiculously rammed too 😄
