Great concert. There was also a lovely UK premiere of a piece by @ nicomuhly calledFriday Afternoon set for children and young voices . Only problem was driving home. The M5 was closed so we had a long detour!

Great concert last night ⁦CBSO⁩ with Eugene Tzikindelean playing the Elgar Violin concerto. Such a beautiful piece with many haunting moments. Second was Walton’s Orb and Sceptre March which swung along with speed and intensity followed by his second symphony

Sad and distressed by the news from Magdeburg . Have been in touch with our friends in Ovenstedt on the outskirts of the city, sending them our love and prayers. Our church was linked with theirs for over twenty years and we visited them many times.
