Mad people I know donated without posting a screenshot about it. Mad people I know have marched without recording it. Are y’all seeking actual activism or social media validation

I secured a spot to speak at the OPS Board Meeting today. I’m feeling pretty anxious about this but I’m writing down speaking points and reminding myself that what happened this weekend wasn’t okay and I have every right to speak about it.

Even watching this Ottawa Police Board meeting is extremely violent. So far 2 delegates have been silenced, both minorities. One was a survivor of sexual assault. I hope media is watching this. CBC Ottawa CTV Ottawa APTN News

This is actual Grade 3 homework from my daughter's class. No, not everyone's family were pioneer settlers with funny looking clothes, school board which will remain nameless for now.

It’s 15 degrees outside here in Mi’kma’ki. I wish I was sleeping in the woods tonight. It’s December 1st. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Still happening. Universities/colleges are so eager to boost "Indigenous" metrics, fraud via self-ID policy is routine. Indigenous Student Service groups can enable this because the more "Indigenous" students the more support. Depending where you are, Indigenization is a mirage.

All this stuff with Michelle Latimer brings up so much horrible feelings and experiences for me as a Metis person. Self-identification has really ruined the reputation of Metis, specifically from my personal experiences in Ottawa.
