Gannett is cutting its employees 401(k) match by 60% and expects a "thank you." January 2020: Existing 5% match (it used to be 6%, pre-Gatehouse merger) July 2020: paused May 2021: 2.5% October 2022: paused July 2024: 1%.

The Austin NewsGuild won a ULP against Gannett when they tried to take away the match shortly after unionizing. I stand with the guild in their effort to retain the 2.5% match!
