A Good Friday…started with a pre-dawn “sanitation” event to clean out some herbage…followed by a bunker pick, grassing line adjustments and a follow up cut and roll. 7 days out from Club Championships.

Yesterday was an all day burner 🔥…sometimes a hose but sometimes only a jug was needed….this morning, we had rain relief…having a dry “Divot Bin” comes in handy 👏✅

August 6th and today…11 days post putting green workout…recovery has been rapid with all the 🌡️🥵 … time to aerify the other half in 10 days with a season ending goal of 3 core removals ✅

One of our college students is leaving in a few days…duct tape will get him to the end…a challenging but rewarding season for the Team…it’s been a hot 🥵stretch with lots of wet feet in the mornings…up next Club C’s followed by aeration…10 days to go before fall recovery ⏰

What it takes every morning…today, we invited our HR Manager to witness the 🎶…the crew enjoy painting a picture on game days…Men’s Day begins in 82 minutes ✅ #2025LHCCGrounds 👏👌

Look for the dot…setting specific pins in the dark sometimes requires pre-planning, the thread scissors and a dedicated Team got it done this morning…Day 1 Club Championships complete…full field tomorrow and Sunday. 👏

Final round of Club Championship 🏆 underway…proud of the Teams resilience and commitment to each other this summer 👏👏👏 up next, fairway and tee aeration plus greens slit seeding & topdressing begins in 8 hours…

Club Championship ✅ Now we move into evening aeration…process always refined as we test the phases…hole 1 finished just in time 💦 1:1:1 one hour to punch, one hour to dry, one hour to clean…👏

Pre Labour Day aeration…how it started and how it ended…the Team delivered today, coupled with favourable weather and process, we recycled our free sandy loam fairway soil…Tuesday we move into the back nine plus continue with the greens needle tine & Vredo slit seed.

Casual Tuesday…the staff can wear a T-Shirt of their choosing on Day 2 of August fairway/tee aeration plus greens needle tine, AQUA-AID Solutions Vredo Dodewaard B.V. slit seed plus sand topdressing…back nine begins…more Wednesday to detail & ready ahead of Thursday re-opening. 🙏✅

One more day of the plant “health spa”…we thank our Membership London Hunt Club for these 2 days…the plants appreciate the rest, oxygen, decompaction and a little extra seed…fall golf season is soon upon us. ✅👏🍁☀️

24 hrs later…following a successful course closure and aeration I am fortunate to be invited to the “Investors” dinner as a guest speaker…The Need to Plan and the results of our recent course renovations…Teamwork with Member support. 🙏👏

Custom blankets on practice aprons…adding TarpVice clips helps for easy On/Off when mowing…we will use on course in late October to apron and fwy landing areas to prevent further injury and promote late season recovery ahead of 2026…free lift winter rules ✅ Allturf

Our college crew gave it their best efforts this season; from a cold spring & snowy Drill N Fill to a hot summer we wish them the best of success at school…the ✏️ is sharp preparing the next 8 weeks of prime golf with fall renovations and a crack crew…sunshine & sand 🍁☀️

Under the morning light 🔦…during last weeks fairway & tee aeration we added some green surface work…needle tine, AQUA-AID Solutions Vredo slit seed Oakley, sanded and rolled…6 days later we have lift off 🚀….next steps, fall recovery, hardening off and enjoying the cool air 🍁

It’s a goodr day to sling some Polyon rough fertilizer…new matching polarized shades 👓😎👌✅👊☀️….rain, temperature 🌡️ and traffic recovery in the forecast 💦

Late summer calls..we have a few resident raptors…from the Latin “rapere” to seize and carry off…this juvenile RedTail just finished a chipmunk lunch and is begging it’s parents for more…nature up close on a golf course 👏👌
