Hey guys, next week I’m going to be choosing a female athlete of the year to feature for the paper and I’m having a tough time deciding. While there’s plenty of worthy candidates, I’ve narrowed it down to these four and so I want to hear from you who you think deserves it more.

Coaches want consistency in their players: in training, in practice, in games, in classrooms. If you put in the work, you’ll be more consistent when it counts. Excellence all the time is impossible. That’s just life, but excellence of effort must be non-negotiable at all times!

The joy of victory: Whitney Athletics beat Granite Bay 61-56 to win CIF Sac-Joaquin Section D2 honors under coach Nick French. Ely Wills scored 15 and Elijah Samdahl and Matt Schroeder had 11 each. The Whitney Girls Bball won earlier tonight making the Rocklin campus a place of champions.
