Things that don’t scale: Moms, doctors. Doesn’t mean that there aren’t things that can make them more effective. Scaling is a god that SV VCs pray to. Great for many things but fails for others. I don’t want my mom scaling, nor my doc for anything that involves nuance.

We talk about burnout like it’s only a clinician problem. It’s a much bigger problem for patients. Burnt out clinicians are less curious, less attentive, less engaged—and care is worse for it. We need business models that burn clinicians out less and enable better care.
