Honored to be declared the Patron of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Marsabit Chapter during a dinner with the Chamber team this evening. I look forward to fostering trade, enterprise & innovation for inclusive growth in our county.

Today, I joined the Uran Godha Comprehensive School community for the launch of ECDE Teaching & Learning Materials for Uran Ward. Through the Office of the First Lady, we supported learners with supplies, success cards & sanitary packs to help them learn and thrive.

Ongoing: The 88th Meeting of the Marsabit County Executive Committee. Key items on the agenda include the Marsabit County Finance Bill 2025, the 2025/2026 Supplementary Budget (I), and discussions on legacy projects.

On Day 3 of the Maa Cultural Festival, themed “Aashipakino Ntomonok E Maa,” I highlighted women’s empowerment, cultural preservation through art and storytelling, and the need to end FGM and early marriage.

Deeply saddened by the passing on of Hon. Mohamed Tubi, MP for Isiolo South and former Speaker of Isiolo County Assembly. A personal friend and visionary leader, he served with integrity and humility. My heartfelt condolences to his family and the people of Isiolo. RIP.

Today, we launched KSh 90M Health Infrastructure Projects at Laisamis Sub-County Hospital—including a power plant, modern theatre, maternity complex (in partnership with Safaricom Foundation), X-ray unit, dental unit & staff housing—advancing quality healthcare in Marsabit.

Honoured to join H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, PhD and fellow leaders for the AIC Loglogo Diamond Jubilee in Marsabit. Grateful for the President’s friendship and the many development projects his administration has delivered. Marsabit County remains committed to partnership and progress.

Yesterday, the County First Ladies Association launched it’s 2025–2028 Strategic Plan with H.E. Rachel Ruto as Chief Guest. Built on a decade of service, it guides health, education, empowerment, gender equality, climate action & institutional strengthening for all 47 counties.

We joined the Anti-FGM Board & partners for the Maasai Elders’ Declaration to end FGM and child marriage & the launch of the “My Dear Daughter” campaign.Families have the power—when parents choose protection, harmful practices end.Together we secure a safe future for every girl.

In honour of the late Abdulrahaman Moghal—Documentary Officer and curator at the Loiyangalani Desert Museum—we observed a moment of silence. Hajj was a true custodian of culture whose work shaped the Marsabit–Lake Turkana Festival. His legacy continues to inspire.
