Our Grade 3 classes from Alvin Curling PS had an incredible day of outdoor learning today HillsideOutdoorEd . They got to hike, explore, make and eat bannock with maple syrup, and toast marshmallows. Thx to the staff and our volunteers for making it such a memorable experience for us.



Thank you to the TDSB Islamic Heritage Month committee and the Aga Khan Museum for the informative and interactive session today about Islamic Art. Our Alvin Curling PS students enjoyed learning about patterns and creating their own henna/mendi designs.

Thank you Mrs. R. King and Sean Gale from UIEC_TDSB for allowing us to share this Land Based Learning and loose parts lesson (based on the beautiful book titled “Walking Together”) with our Alvin Curling PS staff during today’s PLC.


“Keep this bracelet as a treasure from the first week that our class family came together.” Our 3/4 students Alvin Curling PS made bracelets last week to symbolize our commitment to having a kind and inclusive classroom.


We are working with Shaun Grant in the Alvin Curling PS Library to learn about the importance of embracing our names. The Name Jar is a book that highlights how our names are connected to our identity and family history. Our names are special and unique!


Today, our Alvin Curling PS Grade 3’s demonstrated that electrostatic force is a non-contact force. Check out these “dancing” creations!
