Are you looking to start the year by becoming more active? A good place to start is by ditching the car and replacing it with some #activetravel. We recommend starting little by little, and finding a route you enjoy that you can make a habit of riding through winter

Lights! If you're on busy roads, be confident others can see you; it might be worth investing in your own lights to compliment the GO e-Bike ones. Most lights clip on quickly with rubber straps. You can add these to your helmet, seat post or handlebars next to the brakes.

1/3 Another Winter riding tip! Get used to how your bike handles on different surfaces; when on two wheels it's very easy for one wheel to lose traction and for you to end up in a pickle!

2/3 Wet grids and ice can lead to quick slides, so if it's too late to avoid a grid, keep sat upright on your bike, and keep your body weight over the middle of the bike (GO e-Bikes are nice and upright to help this!).

3/3 On slippery surfaces, try not to change speed and direction at the same time. Speed up & slow down in straight lines and before any hazards, this will help keep you nice & smooth, and controlled when turning.

If you're going to start riding regularly through winter, it's a good idea to have a route to follow. Route Planning software like Strava can help you to plot a course, and see heat maps of where other people have been riding to avoid busy roads & junctions.
