Off to Germany tomorrow to get a break from this heat.🤠

Off we got to Germany! Trip to Canterbury tonight then Calais tomorrow and on to Essen.

Hired scooters to piss about on in Essen on our day off. Mate needs a new tyre which has slowed us up. Harz mountains tomorrow.

Left UK last week in sunny 28’C so far this we’ve had three days of torrential rain and it was 11’C at one point in the Harz mountains. Last time I came here (exactly the same time of year) it was 35’

Mixed day today. Small off on a hairpin. A bunch of guys were stopped in the lay-by next to it and helped pick it up. They were there because one of them had come off as well. Within less than a mile another bike was down on the side with Police there.

Alpenstrasse. Neuschwanstein castle and Garmisch. Great roads, but busy in places. Mate had his wallet stolen from apartment, but found with cards in but €350 gone. Probably the cleaners at the place. Left it by the bed. Outside when he came back. Twats.

It’s not everyday that you look out of your hotel room window and there’s a museum with a Tupolev Tu 144 Concordski and a Concorde. #Sinsheimtecnikmuseum

Mercedes. The cars chosen by the most discerning dictators. The 6 wheeler most famous for the Berlin rallies and the 4 wheeler armoured one, both owned and used by the Fuhrer and Mussolini.

Ring of Beara cycling. Great views but avoid cake!

Wonderful guy who often led our trail rides died last Saturday after hitting a fallen tree and breaking his neck. He will be sadly missed.
