Productivity log 7.25.24 Managed to film the prep for my Beholder Eyestalks recipe last night. Going to film 2nd part of prep tonight. If all works out well this weekend, attendees of my Monster Menu panel at #GenCon can look forward getting the recipe before everyone else does.

Definitely enjoying so much needed quiet and cooler weather this morning at my in-laws’ house in the mountains. A nice respite before driving up to GenCon in a few days.

Progress report 7.29.24 - Going to finish shooting photo and video for my Beholder Eyestalks recipe tonight. Might need to stock up on energy drinks to do the talky bit, though. Sleep deprivation is a thing today.

Welp, the eye stalk recipe did not work— I mean it did in being what a beholder’s eye stalk would probably taste like if boiled. A pleasant experience, though? Eh… I can do better. Definitely not using as much rice paper next time.

Night before #GenCon drinks with friends at 16-Bit. Would take people photos, but I always forget. All drinks should come with rock candy.

My theory as to why there aren't tacos in any of the old D&D sourcebooks? Volo went to Maztica to write another volume. He's probably still there, eating tacos and drinking margaritas, avoiding missives from Elminster so he doesn't have to leave. I'd probably do the same.
