The latest work by Giulia Maiello - a Liverpool-Rome MarianiLab Tommaso Russo collaboration - shows us that #metaprobes and #trawlers can open up a new era of #eDNA-based marine monitoring! The #metaprobe is very effective at capturing diversity - and it’s easy to store!

The #metaprobe-in-the-#trawl approach also shows that #COI metabarcoding comes handy: two markers basically capture the whole #biodiversity - inside and outside the net!
