If you think deployment workflows on #Kubernetes is still a hassle, #Gitkube might be just the tool for you! "Git push" your code to deploy apps on #k8s cluster. No additional tooling or intricate workflows to get started. Try it out here: gitkube.sh #GitOps

A high-level peek at #Gitkube's architecture👇: 1. Remote: Custom resource defined by a #k8s CRD 2. gitkube-controller: Controller that manages Remote objects and propagates changes to gitkubed 3. gitkubed: Git host that builds #Docker image from repo and rolls out deployment

When to use #Gitkube? 1. During development, you want to test your #WIP branch on a cluster. 2. You want a reference implementation for writing git-based automation on your server. Find out more at buff.ly/2tKpHg4 #Git #GitOps

gitkube.sh is a really cool concept: it's a k8s CRD that creates a git remote to which you can push to trigger an image build + updating a deployment to use that image. Kudos! I'll dive in the code, if only because it's a really nice way to use CRDs :)

App deployment workflow for #Gitkube: 1. Create a base #git repo for the application with Dockerfile & K8s deployment 2. Define the spec for Remote containing the rules for git push 3. Once a Remote is set up, deploy the app to K8s using git push <remote> master #Kubernetes

You can deploy your #Kubernetes workloads by simply running ‘git push’ of your YAML files to a special repository using Gitkube. setns.run/2IcHymB
