Interesting that Tokyo has a much more privatized metro system than NYC, yet their metro is immaculately run and cheaper. The fact is NYC will need a Robert Moses style power broker to revamp the system before anything changes not dysfunctional worker committees.

This is incredible, better than Zola for checking buildable SF. There are some gaps in the search, but you can still find properties directly on the map. With a bit more refinement, this’ll be a must-have tool for any commercial broker in NYC.

Are there any conditions on how the land will be developed? If it ends up just more suburb then it’s an affront to God. They should host a design competition for bids to build a 15-minute cities that are dense, mixed-use, family-friendly.

Zohran points to a 12% NOI rise in “rent-stabilized” buildings but that’s blended income from market‑rate units & subsidies. For true stabilized-only underwriting, NOI trends are flat or declining.
