The Construction Project Management students from Jamaica College started their internship on site earlier this week! They are being fully immersed in all things construction 🚧 and gaining invaluable experience on the Gore Developments Ltd. Phoenix Park site in St. Catherine.

This year’s summer camp was oversubscribed because of the learning loss experienced due to the closure of schools during the pandemic. We would not have been able to assist so many children without a generous donation from National Baking Co. valued at $53,000! Thank you!

Our Director, Mrs Gore, & outgoing President of the Guild of Students The Mico University College Shavoy Lyons, take Chantelle, graduate of the Rose Town Construction Internship Program on a tour of Mico. Chantelle will be studying Math at Mico in hopes of becoming a Math teacher one day.

A new school year can be a stressful time for parents. GFF teamed up with the National Parenting Support Commission to offer some guidance through a parenting workshop held earlier this month. Claudette Scott from @npscjamaica spoke on the topic of psychosocial & mental health.

Both our Construction Project Management (“CPM”) and our Investigative Journalism (“IJ”) courses at Jamaica College resumed last week. We are excited to introduce new groups of students to the ‘ins and outs' of CPM and to the practice of Investigative Journalism.

Our early intervention program helps to identify students who need a bit more time and attention in order to be prepared for grade one. We want to ensure that no child gets left behind! One of GFF’s Special Ed Teachers is shown here working with students from Sandhurst ECDC.
