It's quite true that Thatcher brought about meaningful change. Britain lost secure well-paid employment, social housing, trade union rights, final salary pensions and adequate funding for the NHS, social care and schools.

Why don't right wingers get that we, the people ARE the unions. They refer to unions as some kind of sect working against the people. The unions are the people, the unions represent the workers, we are the workers. When they slag off the unions - they are slagging us off.
