CHAIR TOSS was a great small space/classroom activity for #PhysEd today! One chair per team. Students underhand toss the bean bag. 1 point if it lands and stays on the chair. 2 points if it goes through the hole in the chair. Phys.Ed.Review

Ss loved our hockey version of RPS Cone Collectors (learned from Mr. Condran PE & Alenna Condran at SHAPE PA). Ss "faceoff", if they win they get a puck (dome cone) from the other team & dribble it to their own line. To emphasis control, if the puck flips over it gets returned.

Need a non stop, never ending, great large group activity…Snowman Down was a big hit with the uppers. They begged to play it again after break. Great game by Justin Cahill! #mhepe #physed #risdbelieves #levelupMHE #risdmoves

We did a variety of striking activities today using a ballon at CDES. Warmed up with keep up using paddles and hula hoops. We finished off with some ballon tennis on the mats that a big “hit”😎

🏈Football tic-tac-toe❎🅾️ first time trying this and the kiddos were blown away. Can be played 1v1 or 2v2. Used as a station. Best for 1st-5th grade. #physed #elementarype #peteacher

I’m introducing these cannon launchers to our Field Day this year. Looking for creative ways to use them. Ideas so far are catching, landing in hula hoops or past a marker line. What other ideas do you have? #PhysEd

PIZZA DELIVERY! 🍕Each team starts with a pile of poly spots (pizzas) and works together to deliver them one at a time to the laundry basket (house) across the gym! A fun cooperative activity that works great for Field Day as well!

Introducing a fun twist on a classic game we like to call King of the Hill! Great game that works on so many skills necessary for a fun and successful year of PE. Awesome way to start our activities this year. Played with 2-5. Ss had a blast with this one today. #PhysEd

🎲🎲 Dice Tag Taggers carry a foam dice. Tag an opponent, roll the dice and then the number (in this case) depicts an exercise. Number on the dice could determine number of catches, locomotion movements etc Then swap roles! Had some 20 sided die which the kids LOVED too! 🎲

Looking to add a bit of literacy for your littles? Here’s a version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar that I do with K-1 that helps us recognize equipment names, follow directions, and of course practice skills needed for working cooperatively. #spspe #physed

3rd warmup: Rock Paper Scissors Cone Thx @JagsDenPE for the idea! Play RPS at mid court. Win? Grab a cone from the other team & add to ur side. Lose? Raise hand and play again! #physed #elempe
