CALLING ALL 3D ARCHAEOLOGISTS! Now I have your attention, the deadline for CAA International Oxford has been extended until the 6th April, so there is still time to discuss or submit your paper/idea to S18 (other sessions available), 10/20mins, case study, thought provoking, you decide.

That time of year again, keeping a foot in academia training students how to generate True 3D volumes of archaeological contexts. So glad we wrote this paper, and then rewrote all the code! degruyter.com/document/doi/1… But to be kind I'm putting together a quick reference manual.

Can anyone recommend a decent Python library for making graphs (node, edge, relationship etc.) dr Iza Romanowska ? In decent I mean conforms to semantic graphs and is reasonable easy as far as python goes.

🌴 A new map has been launched revealing the extent of Britain’s surviving fragments of temperate rainforests. At one time rainforests covered a fifth of Britain’s land. Today only isolated scraps survive, covering about 0.5% of land. nationalworld.com/news/environme…

10 million (yes, MILLION) trees, detected from 30 gigabytes of Washington DC lidar data, individually transformed to the proper size and geo-referenced into a 3D #rayshader scene, entirely in #RStats!🤯 You knew rayshader could do trees—now you know it can do FORESTS!😀
