1 yr ago I photographed my friend, Ching Juhl of Juhl Media videotaping Times Square the last day before congestion pricing took effect. Traffic was jammed. Today, the year-long experiment seems to be working. This shot from the same location.

Believe it or not there are photographers who don’t like having their photo taken. But at least my friend here finally has a profile photo for his social media. And says he may use it on his business cards! Taken in Times Square.

Winter weather makes a return to NJ. Accumulation is minimal. Yet traffic on well brined 50 mph highways moved bumper to bumper at 25-30 mph and even the diner I frequent Sunday nights was closed. Imagine if everything stopped like this in MI when there was minimal snowfall!

When up bound subway service is suspended at 34th Street Penn Station and everyone is redirected to the local train just after the Rangers game ended.

I remember where I was when the Challenger blew up 40 yrs ago today.

I don’t mean to alarm anyone but a short time ago, as the sun peaked over the horizon during what we call dawn I saw the temperature DOUBLE in 5 minutes! This could be IT so I’m making a record here for whatever beings discover Earth perhaps centuries from now.

I’ve long heard that “some people” sneak up to a an underutilized floor during the midnight shift to catch a few ZZZZZs. Now I have proof!
