Subscribed to @PremierSportsTV last night to watch the Rugby League and wasn’t disappointed. Both Fev and Leigh will take some beating when it dries up. Great to see Leon Pryce and Kev Brown talking sense and giving great insights and opinion. Exactly what the sport needs.

It feels like a lifetime ago since I last watched Betfred Super League cannot wait for tonight’s game. Still think we start the season too early but as a supporter I’m glad it’s back.

Last nights game was a belter. Definite red card for that challenge from Napa. Not sure what he was thinking but sometimes the urge to smash somebody takes over. A lot of players are on that line of control and just going over the edge. Getting it right is an art form.

RIP Johnny Whitely MBE. A true Hull legend. What he did for Rugby league in Hull and in general was amazing. It was in his blood. I always found him fascinating to listen to which was a good job because once you were talking rugby the next hour was a write off. You’ll be missed.

Having met with the St.Helens R.F.C. playing squad and spoken to their head and assistant coach today I can see why they are where they are. Engaging, respectful, sensible and honest. Exactly why I love this sport and the warriors that play it.

Unfortunately this is the weekend we see teams start to suffer due to the schedule, especially the 1st and 2nd games after the Easter wknd. I don’t see the point in limiting contact in training to limit injuries, head knocks and loads then playing 3 games in 8/10 days.
