Running in parallel with the #FossilFinderinusALL project Hastings Museum & Art Gallery, I’m excited to be creating #TheHouseofTheStoneThatSpoke, a production exploring Ukrainian women’s connection to ancestors, intrepid women who trod similar journeys across Europe 1000 yrs ago. 22 Dec-5Jan

It’s been a joy to explore medieval travellers Anastasia, Anna & Elisiv of Kyiv through their contemporary counterparts this festive season. In tis sold out run, #Sussex audiences have been so inspired by narratives of inspiring women living at the time #HastingsCastle was built.

This production run has come to an end but there is more to explore! Coming soon, further exploration of ambitious and able medieval women and travellers, an approach that broadens the dominant Sussex 1066-themed narrative to be more diverse, international and connected.

I’ve loved directing ExploreTheArch’s recent show #TheHouseoftheStonethatSpoke, embracing the curiosity of 3 performers from Kyiv exploring their intrepid female medieval forebears. A fab experience raising awareness of this #herstory through shared passion for #HastingsCastle.
