FoGS is a repository of FAQs on #genomic research. An FAQ is considered a socially responsible model of science communications for both experts and general audiences. An FAQ aims to provide the context, scope, and limitations of research findings within #Genomics

The first FAQ, which was written by principal members of the Social Science Genetic Association Consortium (SSGAC) in 2013. It accompanied a genome-wide association study on education attainment. The number of FAQs published each year has only grown.

FoGS is the result of a collaboration b/t Lucas J. Matthews , Daphne Martschenko, PhD, Sam Trejo, and Ben Domingue. It is graciously hosted by The Hastings Center for Bioethics - which focuses on the ethical issues within health, science, and technology to create a better public understanding of #bioethics

FAQs included in FoGS are not the only way to responsibly communicate research, but we hope this repository invites a larger conversation on researchers’ social responsibilities. More information on the creation of FoGS can be found here www-nature-com-s.caas.cn/articles/s4158…
