It’s self-sabotage if you don’t allow any wiggle room in the phrase “be yourself.” Don’t be so condescending as to not care about your impression on people. If it comes down to it: I’ll be “corporate” with a prospect. Show up acting “chill?” I’m “myself” but lose the deal.
