Lots of teachers are leaving education. Why? 1) Many policies and practices make teaching unsustainable - and no amount of “self-care” will fix it 2) Lack of respect (and pay) for the hours worked & schooling required 3) Lack of resources to do what is needed. What else?

The fact that so many teachers, who always dreamed of being a teacher, are leaving teaching because the education system has become so unbearable and they are so undervalued should concern everyone.
