The fact that a £50m package is the starting point here is really positive. Obviously the closer towards £60m the better, but would be happy with £55m.

So, it seems that Ishé Samuels-Smith is actually set to join Strasbourg on a permanent for €6m… Selling Ishé as a sole statement is crazy, but given it’s Strasbourg it’s not a big deal. I’m sure there will be a buy-back and just allows for a loan spot to not be used up.

All players were back at Cobham today including the academy. Very nice to see Dujuan Richards who missed the entirety of last season after sustaining an ACL in the penultimate game of the 23/24 season. Before the injury he was seriously showing his talent.

Mathis Amougou is joining Strasbourg on a permanent transfer. Amazing news as he won’t be using up one of Chelsea’s 3 available loan slots at Strasbourg.

Strasbourg next season will be so fun. Samuels-Smith and Amougou already on permanent transfers and still 3 loan spots to use up. Penders and Paez will be incredible and then a 3rd spot. A Mamadou Sarr return would be great or maybe Acheampong replaces Doue if he goes to Milan.

Penders, Páez, Samuels-Smith, Amougou and maybe one of Josh, Ty or Sarr at Strasbourg next season, along with all the talent they already have like Coulibaly, Doukoure, Barco, Moreira, Diop, Nanasi, Bakwa, Amo-Ameyaw and Emegha. Will be so fun to watch.
