As another school week draws to a close, Margaret and I would like to give a special mention to the nation's teaching assistants. Versatile, hard-working and underpaid - this workforce plays a vital role in children's education, every single day. Thank you, teaching assistants!

Panorama- Cruelty in the classroom was just disgusting. How “adults” “staff” “teachers” can treat any child like that, nevermind the most vulnerable is sickening. Those poor kids and their families.

Teachers got their pay rise of 5.5 today. As they should. I’ve had a pay freeze for 8 years. I am happy for me. But not happy for TAs in school. When I daily see the lengths they go to, I rage for them. They deserve a HUGE pay rise. Particularly those who 1:1 children.
