I finished reading nice piece by Dr. Alvin Thomas, PhD. looking at age-specific effects of family-based intervention for African American father-son dyads. This is an area of intervention programming that needs a lot more attention. link.springer.com/article/10.100… (2020 in J of Chld & Fam Studies)
Thanks Kayla Knopp, PhD for taking time today to talk with Illinois Strong Couples project coaches! Tremendous insights on remote coaching and counseling with couples.
Still an article I think a lot about. Anything you have Fincham, Stanley (Scott M. Stanley), and Beach co-authoring something, it's worth reading. #throwbackthursday #academictwitter Transformative Processes in Marriage: An Analysis of Emerging Trends onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
...and anytime you have a piece co-authored by Haskins & Sawhill (Isabel Sawhill), also definitely worth a read. Insightful commentary, including how Moynihan has been misinterpreted. The Decline of the American Family: Can Anything Be Done to Stop the Damage? journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.117…

I'm not an economist, but the more I read/listen to them, the more I'm impressed about the insights of their research for all areas of life. Prof. James Heckman is a great example. The role of families in human flourishing: A conversation with James Heckman aei.org/events/the-rol…
